Even Democratic loyalists like Chris Dodd and Barney Frank are urging the President-elect to “get involved” and “be more assertive” during this crucial time for our country. Here are some of the mistakes I can think of off the top of my head. Feel free to add your own:

1. Obama promised change but then picked standing “six-term” Senator Joe Biden as his Vice President. Obama calls Biden an “expert” on foreign policy, but Biden voted AGAINST the Gulf War, FOR the Iraq War, and AGAINST The Surge. Some expert.

2. Obama promised change and unity but then recycles knife-wielding partisan Rahm “Rahm-bo” Emanuel from Clinton’s staff. Emanuel will be the last one to reach across any aisle as Obama’s Chief of Staff.

3. Advocating the closing of Guantanamo Bay — Why does Obama insist these terrorist murderers deserve a fair trail on American soil? They have no rights in this country. Why does Obama want to integrate terrorists into the U.S. prison system? As if not enough can go wrong there …

4. Lobbying for another government $500B “stimulus” package — How many more bailouts is Uncle Sam going to give?

5. Obama taps Hillary for Secretary of State and Eric Holder for Attorney General. How are these former Bill Clinton retreads the face of “change?” Holder already admits he gave bad advice to Bill Clinton when he advised him to pardon Marc Rich, a fugitive billionaire who spent years running from tax evasion. Holder also recommended pardons on the Puerto Rican terrorist group FALN and was instrumental in the controversial Elian Gonzalez FBI intervention in 2000.

6. Obama continues stalls three weeks on appointment of Treasury Secretary while markets crash. Many experts felt this was Obama’s most pressing decision to make after his election victory, but three weeks later there were no decisions made even though he has filled most of the other cabinet positions. Since Obama was elected, the Dow Jones has dropped over 2,100 points, or 22%, to its lowest level since 1997. Many once-blue chip banks like Citi are on the verge of folding and pensions have all but dried up.

7. Democrats led by Obama and Nancy Pelosi take bankruptcy option off the table for Detroit automakers. Apparently Obama believes if you continue to pour water down a black hole you will get flowers.

8. Obama repeals his fundamental promise of a tax cut for “95% of Americans.” Using virtually the same script as Bill Clinton, Obama sandbags the middle class again by renegging on the main campaign promise which got him elected, claiming the budget numbers changed.

9. Despite speaking out on several issues including the economy, Obama is noticeably mum on the Mumbai terrorist attacks and Russians doing naval excercises with Venezuela. How committed is he to the War on Terror and what role does he want America to play in the new world?

10. Obama is clueless on Iran. What will he do now that Israel is ready to pre-emptively strike Iran? The scary part is we don’t know. Iran shows no sign of bargaining.

11. Obama lies to public by saying he never discussed his vacant Senate seat with governor Blagojevich even though spokesman David Axelrod already admitted the two spoke on November 23, 2008. Rahm Emanuel is also MIA on issue.

Re: Thoughts on the Eve of the Convention

Check out Current TV's preconvention shows from Denver and Minneapolis

Denver
http://current.com/items/89221795_unconventiona...

Minneapolis-St.Paul
http://current.com/items/89225401_unconventiona...

Re: What it Takes to Blog in 2008

WaMu pop up ads?
